Here at Followmont we have a rare and exciting opportunity for a hard working, customer focused, self-driven operator to join our high performing PUD team on a Full Time basis.
This Full Time will be part of a fast paced team setting focusing on building strong customer relationships through local freight deliveries and pickups.
The Job
Flexible with working varied hours, including weekends and overtime with penalty rates 07:00 to 15:06Work to deliver high levels of service to our customers through effectively transporting general freight supporting the Cairns] communityTake responsibility for safely and securely loading and unloading a variety of freight with some manual handling of parcel freightCompleting daily vehicle inspections and necessary paperwork including pre-start checks as well as filling out run sheets, PODs and logbooksOperate a forklift or pallet jack to load and unload general freight [Regional only] [Optional]
Qualifications




Hold a current MR license [and Forklift Ticket (LF)] with proven experience operating a Heavy Vehicle for a minimum of 2 years A strong level of resilience and ability to problem solve coupled with the capability to work within a fast-paced, high pressure environment Have a passion for going the extra mile to provide high level service to all our customers Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen, as well as a criminal history check if required
