About
the Role
The City is
seeking an experienced parts interpreter for the provision of
quality parts procurement and inventory control services to support
Fleet Maintenance operations over a large and diverse
fleet.
The role
communicates with a range of internal and external stakeholders
including workshop staff, supervisors, suppliers, manufacturers and
relevant City employees.
You will be
responsible for balancing parts availability, stock optimisation,
warranty recovery and procurement timeliness within a dynamic
operational environment.
About
You
You will apply
your skills, knowledge, experience and judgement to ensure the
timely availability of parts, optimised stock holdings and accurate
inventory data that supports workshop productivity and minimises
fleet downtime.
To be
successful in this role you'll have:
•
Experience in parts interpretation and inventory control
within an automotive, plant or fleet environment
•
Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy
and attention to detail
•
Experience in procurement and supplier engagement
•
Well-developed communication and customer service
skills
•
Experience using inventory management systems and/or ERP
platforms
•
Ability to generate and use inventory and usage information
to support service delivery and cost control
•
Proven ability to supervise or coordinate staff
•
Current C Class Driver's Licence
