About us
We are the Central West's largest privately owned waste and recycling provider of residential, commercial and construction waste services.
Established in ****, Central West Waste Management is a locally family-owned and operated business based in Bathurst, NSW.
Originally established under the name Rural Bin Service, in **** we rebranded to Central West Waste Management.
As our business has grown over the years, it became important that our name reflected the full range of services we offer.
The move to Central West Waste Management unites our Residential Rural Bin Service, Commercial Waste Service and Skip Bin Hire Service under a single professional brand — one that aligns with our long-term vision for regional NSW.
Our service area extends across seven local government regions — Bathurst, Orange, Cowra, Lithgow, Oberon, Blayney, and Cabonne — currently servicing over 800 residential and commercial customers across the Central West region of New South Wales.
As a local, family-owned and operated business, our commitment lies in employing locally, purchasing locally and actively supporting our local communities.
About the role
As our Administration Officer, you will provide friendly, reliable and efficient support to our customers and team, ensuring our day-to-day operations run smoothly.
Answering customer enquiries via phone and email in a friendly,
professional manner and ensuring every person who contacts us feels genuinely looked after
Processing customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Entering and maintaining customer and operational data with a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail
Supporting the team with day-to-day administrative tasks as they arise
Assisting with general office duties including filing, scheduling and maintaining organised, up-to-date records
Being a positive and reliable presence in the office who our team and customers can count on.
What we are looking for
A warm, positive attitude and a genuine willingness to go the extra mile for customers and colleagues alike
Strong attention to detail — you take accuracy seriously
Confidence working with computers and data entry systems
Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
The ability to stay organised and manage competing priorities
The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Previous experience in an administration or customer service role is preferred, though we are happy to support the right person to grow into the role
A connection to or understanding of our Central West community is always a bonus.
