Your recent role
An opportunity exists for an experienced bookkeeper to join the team on either a full-time (5 days per week) or part-time (3 days per week) basis. This is a fully office-based position with an ASAP start available.Working closely with the CFO and Senior Accountants, you will manage bookkeeping and finance administration activities across multiple entities. This role will suit someone who thrives in a structured environment, has exceptional attention to detail and enjoys following established processes and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform month-end and year-end accounting activities across multiple entities.
- Prepare journals, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and BAS returns.
- Assist with monthly reporting and financial statement preparation.
- Manage multiple bank accounts, including inter-entity transfers and funding movements.
- Process, verify and reconcile supplier invoices and payments.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Set up new suppliers and maintain accurate creditor records.
- Maintain payment schedules, registers and supporting documentation.
- Monitor supplier compliance requirements, including insurance documentation.
- Ensure financial records remain accurate, compliant and audit-ready.
- Support process improvement initiatives and finance projects.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven bookkeeping experience across multiple entities, business units or group structures.
- Strong Xero and Excel skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to follow established processes, procedures and internal controls.
- Solid reconciliation, accounts payable and BAS experience.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proactive, team-oriented approach and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work either 3 days per week or full-time in a fully office-based role.
