Parts Advisor

We are seeking a motivated Parts Advisor to join our Mackay team. In this customer-focused role, you'll be responsible for providing expert parts interpretation, supporting workshop operations, managing inventory requirements, and driving parts sales growth.

About the Role

Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will:

- Provide accurate parts interpretation and advice to customers, technicians, and internal stakeholders
- Respond to phone, email, and counter enquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Process customer orders and manage backorders
- Drive parts sales through proactive upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Support inventory management activities, including forecasting, stock monitoring, and replenishment
- Assist with stock takes and warehouse functions as required
- Ensure timely supply of parts to support workshop operations
- Promote genuine parts and aftermarket product solutions
- Maintain accurate records and reporting requirements
- Contribute to a safe and productive workplace environment

About You

To be successful, you will have:

- Previous experience in Parts Interpreting, Parts Sales, or a similar automotive, truck, transport, or equipment industry role




- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of diesel engines and related components
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proven ability to build long-term customer relationships
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive approach to sales and customer engagement
- Certificate in Parts Interpreting (desired)
- Forklift Licence (advantageous but not essential)
