Mount Isa Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse to join its Alcohol and Other Drugs ward on a five-week contract from late August through early October 2026. Based in Mount Isa, Queensland, this is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, offering a competitive hourly rate of AUD76.20 to AUD81.50. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a specialist service in a regional healthcare setting.

Preferred Requirements

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Experience working within Queensland Health settings




- Familiarity with CIMHA (Consumers in Mental Health Alliance) frameworks and principles
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, non-judgmental care in substance use and mental health contexts
- Strong communication and documentation skills in a clinical environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated experience in mental health or addiction nursing
- Completion of relevant career development in alcohol and other drugs practice
