About the Role
/n
As a Call Centre Operator, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing professional and efficient service across a range of enquiries. You will handle inbound customer interactions, process requests accurately and deliver positive customer experiences while working within a supportive team environment.

About You
/n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
/n

- 2 to 3 years of customer service experience in a call centre, administration or retail environment.
/n
- Previous experience working in an office environment.
/n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
/n
- Intermediate computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
/n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams and other Microsoft Office applications.
/n
- Strong typing and data entry skills.
/n
- Professional email etiquette.
/n
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
/n
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
/n
- Previous government experience is advantageous but not essential.
/n/n
Working Hours
/n
This position operates on a Monday to Friday rotating roster between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, excluding public holidays.
/n
You will work on a two-week rotating roster, remaining on the same shift for each two-week period before moving to a different shift. Typical roster patterns include:
/n

- Early shift (approximately 7:00 am start)
/n
- Mid shift (approximately 9:00 am to 10:00 am start)
/n
- Late shift (approximately 11:00 am start)
/n/n
Training
/n
A comprehensive paid training program is provided and includes:
/n
/n
- Two weeks of full-time classroom-based training (35 hours per week).
/n
- A structured nesting period with experienced Subject Matter Experts.
/n
- Ongoing coaching and support from Team Leaders until you are confident working independently.
/n/n
Attendance at all training sessions is mandatory to ensure successful completion of the onboarding program.
/n
Assessment Process
/n
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an in-person assessment centre in Newcastle.
/n
/n
- Duration: Approximately 60 to 90 minutes.
/n/n
