About the role:
The Director of Recruitment and Admissions is responsible for development of strategies to recruit academically strong students from a diversity of backgrounds for Trinity College's Foundation Studies program and any other related international programs.
The role leads and manages the recruitment, admission and registration for the Pathways School.
The Director of Recruitment and Admissions is a member of the Dean's executive team within the Pathways School. For a more detailed description of the roles and responsibilities please see the position description. (links to the PD will be available on the Trinity careers page).
Skills & Experience:
- A tertiary qualification relevant to the role and significant experience in a senior recruitment and admissions role, preferably within the international education sector.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team of experienced recruitment and admissions professionals.
- Extensive and effective stakeholder management experience with groups and individuals including international students, parents, agents, educational institutions, government departments and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Hands on experience in developing effective strategies to recruit overseas students and implementing such strategies including by regularly travelling to international markets to directly engage with prospective students and their parents and third parties who may influence the decision of students to enroll at Trinity.
- A strong knowledge of key international student markets particularly in Asia and the Middle East, with evidence of cultural understanding and sensitivity, an ability to negotiate effectively in this context and a deep knowledge of the Australian education industry.
- High interpersonal communication and negotiation skills (written and oral) at all levels within a culturally diverse education community or similar environment.
- Strong organisational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise competing tasks, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Employment Type and Salary:
This is full-time, ongoing role. The salary for this position is Band Level 5, FTE$150,000 Base + 12% Superannuation + 17.5% Leave Loading.
