AIC Mines is entering an exciting period of growth across our North West Queensland operations, with the Jericho Mine progressing towards production over the coming months.

/n

Located near Cloncurry, Eloise Copper Mine is an established underground operation producing high-grade copper concentrate. Together with the development of Jericho, Eloise is an important part of AIC Mines' growth strategy.

/n

The Role

/n

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the protected and efficient charging and firing of both development and production blasts across our underground operations.

/n

This role is critical to supporting mining schedules, maintaining safe work areas and contributing to strong production outcomes.

/n

Key responsibilities include:

/n

/n

- Development and production charging, including upholes and downholes

/n

- Using Orica products and systems, including Hypercharge Emulsion and i-kon detonators

/n

- Operating Orica Blaster 3000 and i-kon Logger II remote firing systems

/n

- Preparing, charging and firing underground headings and production stopes

/n

- Managing explosive storage, transport and stock control in line with site procedures

/n

- Inspecting work areas, identifying hazards and ensuring all work is completed safely

/n

- Completing required charging and blasting documentation

/n

- Working closely with development,



production and technical services teams

/n

- Supporting the crew to achieve safe and efficient mining outcomes

/n/n

About You

/n

You will be an experienced underground Charge Up Operator or Shotfirer who takes pride in working safely and contributing to a solid team.

/n

To be successful in the role, you will have:

/n

/n

- A minimum of one to two years' experience in underground charge-up operations

/n

- Experience with both development and production charging

/n

- Experience using Orica charging products, systems and firing equipment, highly regarded

/n

- A strong commitment to safety and following site procedures

/n

- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

/n

- A current manual Queensland driver's licence

/n

- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and police clearance

/n

- A current Queensland Explosives Security Clearance card and Queensland Shotfirer's Licence are desirable but not essential.
