Job Description:

Make a real difference in the Port Lincoln community by managing commercial and domestic property claims from first advice through to final settlement - with autonomy, variety and strong team support.

The Opportunity

As an External Claims Adjuster with Crawford, you'll manage a diverse regional portfolio, combining technical property knowledge, investigation, problem-solving and customer service.

You'll be responsible for:

- Managing claims from initial notification through to settlement
- Inspecting damage, investigating cause and assessing the extent of loss
- Reviewing policies, claim documentation and evidence to determine coverage
- Coordinating trades, service providers and technical specialists
- Setting reserves, managing costs and making settlement recommendations
- Preparing clear, professional reports and maintaining accurate claim records
- Delivering solid customer outcomes while meeting compliance, KPI and service standards

You'll have the autonomy to manage your portfolio while being backed by an experienced, high-performing team.

What You'll Bring

Essential

- Current driver's licence
- Experience in loss adjusting, insurance claims, property, building, construction, trades or a related field
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and report writing skills
- Ability to work autonomously and maintain accurate claim documentation
- Australian/New Zealand work rights and ability to complete a police check

Desirable

- Loss adjusting experience or relevant professional qualifications
- Knowledge of insurance terminology, practices and policy conditions
- Understanding of basic business accounting procedures
- CILA membership or willingness to undertake further study
