About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join a growing business providing innovative solutions to the construction industry.

Based from the company's Alexandria office, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships and growing the company's presence across the construction sector.

This role suits a proactive sales professional who enjoys winning new business, getting out on the road and building relationships with clients across construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction industry
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Travel to construction sites to identify opportunities and build client relationships
- Manage the full sales process from prospecting through to close
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Prepare proposals, quotes and presentations
- Engage with key decision-makers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver the right solutions
- Maintain accurate CRM records and follow up on opportunities
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets
- Monitor market activity and identify new opportunities for growth

Skills & Experience

- 5-8+ years' B2B sales or business development experience
- Experienced in winning new business and achieving sales targets
- Experience selling into the construction industry highly regarded
- Background in construction, technology, security, access control or SaaS advantageous
- Strong hunter mentality with a genuine drive to win new clients
- Confident engaging with Site Managers, Project Managers, Construction Managers and senior decision-makers




- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong commercial awareness and results-focused approach
- Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working autonomously
- Strong relationship-building and organisational skills
- Comfortable travelling to construction sites across Sydney
