Your new role:

As the Nurse Manager – Workforce, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the Nursing Workforce Service, coordinating the Casual Nursing Pool, Permanent Relief Pool and AIN Nursing Support Service. You will work closely with nursing leaders and multidisciplinary stakeholders to ensure the right workforce is available to meet service needs and organisational priorities.

- Lead workforce planning, staffing strategies and resource management across nursing services.
- Provide professional and operational leadership to approximately 38 permanent pool FTE and 150+ casual staff.
- Drive workforce improvement, quality initiatives, performance monitoring and evidence-informed practice.
- Collaborate with senior nursing leaders to optimise staffing, service outcomes and workforce capability.

About you:

You are an experienced nursing leader with strong workforce management capabilities and the ability to lead teams through change in a complex healthcare environment. You will bring sound judgement, advanced communication skills and a strategic approach to workforce planning and service delivery.

- Demonstrated senior nursing leadership and workforce management experience.
- Robust knowledge of Best Practice Rostering, Business Planning Framework and WorkMapp.
- Proven ability to manage staff, budgets, performance and workforce-related priorities.
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and change leadership skills.
- Proficiency in systems including Excel, IWFM, myHR, ieMR and Power BI.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
