About the Role
In this newly created, influential and enabling leadership role, you will:
- own and lead QLeave's employee and industrial relations function
- provide expert, strategic advice on complex conduct, performance, grievance and disciplinary matters
- strengthen how leaders manage people, coaching, guiding and holding them accountable
- lead a team of Senior Business Partners to deliver high-quality, consistent support
- oversee QLeave's health, safety and wellbeing function and associated programs of work
- identify and manage emerging organisational risks, trends and sensitive workforce issues
- guide decision-making and escalation pathways for complex matters
- ensure policies, frameworks and governance are applied consistently and practically

What We're Looking For
QLeave appointments are based on selecting the eligible applicant best suited to the position. We will assess your application based on your experience, potential for development, and your personal qualities.
For this role, we are looking for:
- demonstrated expertise in employee and industrial relations, with experience managing complex and sensitive matters
- strong working knowledge of legislation, industrial instruments, public sector frameworks and contemporary employee and industrial relation practices
- demonstrated ability to provide high quality, transparent and balanced strategic advice to the Director People, Culture and Capability and the Senior Executive Leadership Team
- proven experience leading, developing and coaching a high performing team to deliver trusted, high-quality business partnering
- a passion for enabling leaders to take ownership of people management
- sound judgement, resilience and the demonstrated ability to have constructive, and potentially challenging conversations.
