With a solid pipeline of upcoming work and a collaborative senior leadership team, the business is looking to strengthen its front-end capability with the appointment of an experienced Pre-Construction Manager.

The company operates in a genuine D&C; environment, with a strong emphasis on early contractor involvement, buildability, commercial outcomes and long-term client relationships.

About the Role

This is a senior front-end position with responsibility for guiding projects from early engagement through design development, pricing and into delivery.

You’ll work closely with clients, consultants, estimating and project teams to ensure opportunities are commercially viable, technically sound and properly set up before construction begins.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Leading projects through pre-construction and design development
- Coordinating architects, consultants and key stakeholders
- Driving constructability reviews and value engineering
- Developing procurement and subcontractor engagement strategies
- Working closely with estimating around cost planning and tendering
- Identifying design, commercial and programme risks early
- Managing client relationships throughout the pre-construction phase
- Supporting contract negotiations and project conversion
- Ensuring a structured handover into the delivery team

About You





You’ll come from a commercial construction / D&C; background with strong experience across pre-construction, project management, design management or a combination of these areas.

You’ll understand how to take a project beyond simply pricing the job and be comfortable working across design, commercial, programme and delivery considerations.
You’ll ideally bring:

- Strong commercial construction experience
- Exposure to D&C; and early contractor involvement
- Experience coordinating consultants and design teams
- Positive commercial and contractual awareness
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills
- A practical understanding of buildability and project delivery
- The confidence to challenge design, programme and commercial assumptions

Suitable backgrounds could include Pre-Construction Manager, Senior Project Manager, Design Manager or Project Manager with significant front-end experience.
