The Role
As a dedicated Maintenance Assistant, you will be instrumental to the enterprise's ongoing operational success, serving as the Maintenance Manager's primary mechanical assistant and ensuring the facility's infrastructure remains in peak condition.
This is an inherently hands-on role where your technical proficiency will shine; welding is a vital, non-negotiable skill required for the fabrication and repair of critical equipment, but your contribution extends well beyond the workshop floor. Your daily remit is refreshingly diverse, encompassing the operation and preventative maintenance of essential farm machinery, the installation and repair of fencing, and general property upkeep that keeps the site functioning at maximum efficiency. In an era of modern agriculture, high value is placed on data-driven operations; therefore, you will demonstrate your digital literacy utilising internal systems to maintain maintenance logs, ensuring full compliance and long-term asset reliability.
While your primary focus is mechanical and maintenance-based, the nature of this diverse mixed farming enterprise means you will also pivot to assist with livestock and cropping activities as the season demands, requiring a collaborative mindset and an adaptable approach to the shifting needs of the business. You will be comfortable performing physical tasks, including heavy lifting, and will operate with a steadfast commitment to site safety and equipment longevity,



all while working within a structured Monday to Friday framework that balances professional rigour with a supportive team environment.

- Proven experience in welding, which is a vital component of this role.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency in machinery operation and general property maintenance, including fencing.
- Robust digital literacy with the ability to maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting, as required by the role.
- A mature, reliable approach with the ability to work effectively under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
- A collaborative mindset and experience working with livestock and cropping are advantageous.
