Donor Care Officer
At Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL), we are seeking a passionate Donor Care Officer to join our dedicated Fundraising Team within the Strategy & Engagement Portfolio. This role plays an important part in building meaningful relationships with our supporters and helping to grow the impact of BSL's fundraising programs.
Location: Fitzroy
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time working 38 hours per week
Salary: $81,206.78 to $87,085.42 per annum, based on skills and experience plus 12% superannuation.

About the role
The Donor Care Officer is responsible for delivering exceptional supporter care to BSL donors and supporters, with the aim of enhancing donor engagement, satisfaction and retention. As a key member of the Fundraising team, you will be the primary point of contact for donor enquiries, supporting stewardship activities, processing donations and maintaining accurate supporter records to ensure every interaction with BSL is positive and meaningful.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver exceptional supporter care through phone, email and written communications, ensuring a positive experience at every touchpoint.
- Build and strengthen donor relationships through stewardship, engagement and retention activities.
- Process donations and maintain accurate supporter records within Microsoft Dynamics 365, ensuring high levels of data integrity.
- Support regular giving administration, banking, reconciliations, reporting and other fundraising operations.
- Assist with fundraising campaigns, donor communications, events and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we are looking for
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a passion for supporting the vision and purpose of BSL and delivering excellence in your role.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:
- Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in donor care, supporter care, customer service, administration, or a related field.
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with donors, supporters, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience delivering exceptional service across phone, email, and other channels.
- Strong administrative, organisational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience using CRM or donor management systems, including maintaining databases and ensuring data integrity; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly regarded.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Demonstrated commitment to the values and mission of the Brotherhood of St. Laurence.
