Wagga Fire Security is looking for a Portable Fire Technician to join our growing team.
If you’ve already got experience in the fire industry, great. If you’re mechanically minded, good with customers and keen to build a career in fire protection, we’d still like to hear from you.
We’re looking for the right person – someone reliable, switched on and happy to get out there and get the job done properly.
The Role
As a Portable Fire Technician, you’ll be out on the road servicing our customers throughout Wagga Wagga and the surrounding region.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Testing and servicing portable fire equipment
- Fire extinguishers, fire blankets, hose reels and related equipment
- Completing inspections and service documentation
- Identifying defects and recommending required works
- Working across commercial, industrial and other customer sites
- Building good relationships with customers
- Making sure work is completed safely, professionally and to the required standards
You won’t be stuck behind a desk all day. It’s a hands-on role with plenty of variety and independence.
What We’re Looking For
We’re after someone who:
Is reliable and takes pride in their workIs comfortable working independently and managing their day
Has positive communication and customer service skills
Is organised and can keep paperwork and service records up to date
Has a current Australian driver’s licence
Has fire industry experience or relevant qualifications highly regarded
Is willing to learn and develop their skills
Most importantly, we want someone with the right attitude.
