The Opportunity

This is an opportunity for a hands-on Senior UX/UI/Service Designer to play a pivotal role in a major digital integration program, helping transform multiple advisor, customer, member and partner experiences into a unified, scalable ecosystem. With a critical first phase of delivery targeted within the next six months, we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and take ownership of design outcomes across a large-scale portal consolidation initiative. You'll work closely with stakeholders across Product, Technology, CX, Marketing and Operations, leading design conversations, applying strong UX and service design principles, and ensuring consistent, accessible and user-centred experiences throughout a fast-moving transformation program.

This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in a dynamic, agency-style environment where priorities can shift, stakeholder engagement is constant, and creativity is highly valued. While the initial focus will be on integration and rationalisation work, there is significant opportunity to contribute to future digital experiences across retirement, wealth and insurance products, including customer journeys, campaign concepts, educational content, RFP responses and innovative digital propositions. You'll bring expertise in modern UX/UI design, design systems, accessibility standards and human-centred design practices, while confidently balancing user needs, business objectives and regulatory considerations.

We're seeking a collaborative and commercially minded designer with strong communication skills,

a proactive leadership style and a portfolio that demonstrates both strategic thinking and visual creativity. Experience within financial services or other highly regulated industries will be highly regarded, as will exposure to digital transformation and platform migration programs. In return, you'll enjoy significant autonomy, flexibility, variety and the opportunity to influence meaningful customer experiences during an exciting period of growth and change

How will you make an impact?

- Lead the UX, UI and service design of a high-profile digital integration program, helping consolidate multiple portals into a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes and high-fidelity designs that improve acquisition, onboarding, servicing, retention and claims journeys for customers, members, advisers and partners.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Technology, CX, Marketing and Operations to translate business objectives into user-centred design solutions.
- Champion best practice design systems, accessibility standards and consistent design patterns to ensure scalable, high-quality digital experiences.
- Conduct research, usability testing and journey mapping to uncover customer needs, validate design decisions and drive continuous experience improvements.
- Bring creativity and commercial thinking to a variety of initiatives, from digital journeys and customer communications to campaign concepts, educational content and future-state propositions.
- Influence the organisation's digital evolution by advocating for human-centred design, leading design discussions and helping shape the future experience for customers in a rapidly changing and highly regulated environment.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following:

- Proven experience delivering UX, UI and/or service design outcomes across complex digital products, platforms, portals or customer-facing experiences, with a portfolio that showcases both strategic thinking and visual creativity.
- Strong expertise in wireframing, prototyping, user flows, information architecture, journey mapping and user-centred design,

with a passion for creating intuitive and engaging digital experiences.
- The ability to lead design initiatives, influence stakeholders and navigate ambiguity, balancing user needs, business objectives and delivery requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of design systems, accessibility standards (WCAG) and digital best practices, with a commitment to creating consistent, scalable and inclusive experiences.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working closely with cross-functional teams in agile environments and building strong relationships across business and technology functions.
- Experience within agency, consulting, digital transformation or platform migration environments is highly regarded, while exposure to financial services or other regulated industries will be advantageous.

Join us in building confidence - for our customers, our communities and each other.

- Your work makes a real impact. Everything we do helps our customers and their families live, save and retire with confidence, and your contribution will directly support that purpose.
- You’ll help drive meaningful change. As an inclusive, agile and adaptable organisation, we offer a unique opportunity for you to grow while shaping the future of our organisation.
- You’ll feel supported and included. Our team culture is flexible, collaborative and people centred, with hybrid working to help you balance life and work.
