With the continued growth in the Bega Valley Region comes permanent part-time opportunities for Disability Support Workers to join our Home and Living and Community Supports Team.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide practical daily living support, personal care and overnight (sleepover) assistance, helping participants with tasks such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, household routines and mobility. You will work closely with participants to support their goals, promote independence and encourage choice and decision-making in everyday activities. You will deliver person-centred support using active support practices, enabling participants to engage meaningfully in everyday activities and maximise their independence.
You will also support people to stay connected to their community. Whether that’s attending appointments, engaging in social, recreational or vocational activities, or spending time with family and friends.
As our services operate across a variety of hours, successful candidates must be available to work a range of shifts across both Home and Living Supports and Community Supports. Our services operate 24/7 and include morning, afternoon, evening, overnight (sleepover) and weekend shifts. Candidates with flexibility to work across a variety of these shifts will be highly regarded.
Start Date: To be successful for this position, you will be required to be available to commence paid onboarding training from Tuesday 22 September 2026, this involves 4 face-to-face training sessions, online modules and buddy shifts across a two-week period. We ask that you have full availability to attend training sessions over this period.
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- Flexibility and availability to work across both Home and Living and Community Supports, including morning, afternoon, evening, overnight (sleepover)
and weekend shifts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence using a range of technical platforms to complete shift notes. Incident reporting & electronic timesheets.
- Comfortable and confident delivering hands-on personal care.
- Initiative to work independently and as part of a team-oriented team.
- Creativity to promote and support community contribution.
- Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC), NDIS Screening Check, valid NSW Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle.

The hourly part-time rate for this role is between $36.22 - $39.53 (plus superannuation), depending on relevant experience and qualification.
