About us

Trigger Group has been working across Melbourne and the South East since 2012. We specialise in hot water heat pumps, gas plumbing, solar and batteries, air conditioning, EV chargers and whole-home water filtration. There's about 20 of us, based in Pakenham.

The work is steady and there's enough volume to keep the team busy year round. Having licensed electricians and plumbers under the one roof (REC 36222 and BPC 50819) means we're not standing around waiting on another trade to turn up and finish a job.

The role

Full-time Plumber, based out of our Pakenham yard, working across Melbourne's South East.

Day to day you'll be:

- Installing and replacing hot water heat pump systems

- Removing and replacing gas hot water systems

- Gas heater removals and disconnections

- Gas cooktop removals, disconnections and upgrades

- Split system installs (if licenced) or assisting our other licenced team members

- Plumbing upgrades associated with hot water system replacements

- General residential plumbing and maintenance work

- Working alongside our electrical team on heat pump installations

- Running jobs with an apprentice and helping develop their skills

- Dealing directly with customers and providing a professional handover

What you'll need

Essential:





- Current Victorian Plumbing Registration

- Current driver's licence

- Construction Induction Card (White Card)

- You turn up, you do the job properly, and you talk to customers like a professional

Highly regarded (these put you straight to the front of the queue):

- Arktic Licence & AC install experience (pay may be reviewed/higher for Arktic)

- Experience installing hot water heat pumps

- Experience with gas hot water systems

- Experience with gas heater and cooktop removals

- Experience with residential plumbing upgrades

- Experience working alongside electricians on heat pump installations

- Previous experience running jobs with an apprentice

- $80,000 – $100,000 plus super, depending on experience and tickets
