$32–$38.50 per hour + allowances + company vehicle
Full-Time | Permanent | Training & Career Progression
Ready to Step Up?
If you have experience in restoration, building, property maintenance or commercial cleaning and you're ready to take more ownership and lead a small crew, this could be a great next move.
Steamatic is looking for a hands-on Restoration Technician / Team Leader to join our Shepparton team.
You'll still be on the tools, but you'll also have the opportunity to take ownership of jobs, lead people on site and build your career in the restoration industry.
What's In It For You?
- $32–$38.50 per hour, depending on experience
- Fully maintained company vehicle
- Paid overtime and applicable allowances
- Full time permanent role
- Specialist restoration training
- Opportunity to gain industry-recognised IICRC qualifications
- Clear career progression
- Support from experienced managers
- Varied, hands-on work across different sites and projects
- Join an established and growing national restoration business
The Role
When properties are affected by water, fire, mould and other damage, Steamatic helps homes and businesses get back to normal.
You'll work across a variety of restoration and remediation projects while also taking responsibility for coordinating a small crew on site.
Your work will include:
- Water damage mitigation and structural drying
- Fire and smoke damage restoration
- Mould remediation
- Specialist property and contents cleaning
- Leading and coordinating team members on site
- Allocating work and keeping jobs moving
- Maintaining quality and safety standards
- Communicating with customers and clients
- Completing job notes, photos and documentation
- Supporting and developing less experienced team members
What We're Looking For
Restoration experience would be ideal, particularly across water, fire, mould or remediation.
But we're also very interested in people coming from:
- Building or construction
- Insurance repairs
- Property or facilities maintenance
- Commercial or industrial cleaning
- Carpet cleaning
- Other practical, hands-on field roles
You don't need to tick every box.
What matters is that you're practical, reliable, good with people and comfortable taking responsibility for a crew and the job in front of you.
You'll also need:
- Current driver's licence
- Previous experience leading, supervising or coordinating others
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- A hands-on approach and good physical fitness
- Strong safety awareness
- Confidence using basic technology and mobile applications
- Willingness to learn and develop
IICRC qualifications and previous restoration experience are highly regarded, but not essential for the right person. Training and development can be provided.
Build a Career, Not Just a Job
Steamatic has a structured technician development pathway designed to grow both your technical expertise and leadership capability.
As you develop, you'll have the opportunity to build specialist skills across water damage, fire and smoke restoration, mould remediation and more complex restoration projects.
If you're looking for a hands-on role where you can step up, lead people and continue developing your career, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply now to join the Steamatic Shepparton team.
Applicants must have unrestricted Australian working rights and be willing to complete relevant pre-employment checks.
