The Role
We're looking for a Corporate Accountant to join our team on an initial parental leave contract, based in Brisbane.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to broaden their corporate accounting experience while supporting HDR's Australian operations and collaborating with colleagues across the globe. Working closely with the Principal Corporate Accountant, you'll gain exposure to financial reporting, compliance, tax, audit and joint venture accounting within a collaborative and internationally connected environment.

What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of our Finance team, you will:
- Prepare and process month-end accounting activities, including accruals, prepayments, payroll, banking and cost reallocations.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances, providing recommendations and corrective actions where required.
- Support the accounting and reporting requirements of joint venture entities, including monthly financial statements.
- Prepare and lodge indirect tax obligations, including BAS, Payroll Tax, TPAR and FBT-related reporting activities.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audit requirements.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders,
external advisors and global finance teams to ensure compliance and reporting obligations are met.
- Support broader finance initiatives and provide assistance across the accounting function as required.

Ideally, You'll Have
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline – required.
- CA or CPA qualified – advantageous.
- 3+ years demonstrated accounting experience, ideally within a corporate, professional services or commercial environment.
- Experience preparing month-end journals, reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Exposure to indirect tax compliance and statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience supporting audits and working with external advisors.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and financial systems skills.
- Experience working across multiple entities, regions or jurisdictions will be highly regarded.
