Weipa Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join its Renal and Outpatients ward on a two-week contract from 16 August to 30 August 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior renal nurse to contribute to a specialist team in Far North Queensland. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of AUD72.50 to AUD81.50, with scope to take on portfolio and audit management responsibilities as part of the senior nursing cohort.
- Specialist renal and haemodialysis nursing in a dedicated outpatient setting
- AUD72.50 to AUD81.50 per hour, two-week contract with potential for extension
- Senior-level responsibilities including portfolio and audit management
Preferred Requirements
- Minimum three years' experience in renal nursing and haemodialysis care
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Hands-on experience operating Fresenius 4008S or 5008S haemodialysis machines
- Demonstrated ability to manage clinical portfolios and participate in audit processes
- Robust communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Post-graduate qualification or specialist certification in renal nursing
- Experience in remote or regional healthcare settings is advantageous
