As the Senior Occupational Therapist within the Penrith Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), you will play a key role in delivering recovery-oriented, evidence-based occupational therapy services that empower individuals to achieve their goals, strengthen community connections, and enhance their participation in everyday life. Using your advanced clinical expertise,
you will conduct comprehensive occupational assessments and provide tailored interventions that focus on occupational performance, meaningful roles, independence, and overall wellbeing.

What you will bring to the role * Degree in Occupational Therapy with current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia).
- Substantial post graduate clinical experience in a Mental Health service setting. Demonstrated capabilities for recovery- oriented practice and high level of knowledge, skills and clinical expertise for occupational therapy service provision in a mental health setting.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, provision of clinical supervision, and experience in the supervision of undergraduate occupational therapy students.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to manage a complex caseload with competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement innovative, evidence- based individual and group interventions to support people with persistent and severe mental health problems.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and effective time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel. Ability to travel within the LHD in accordance with the position.
