As an Allied Health Assistant within the Occupational Therapy Department at Princess Alexandra Hospital, you'll work under the guidance of experienced therapists to support patient care and rehabilitation. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to meaningful patient outcomes while building your skills in a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
- Deliver delegated therapy programs and patient interventions under supervision.
- Assist with patient mobility, personal care, and safe manual handling.
- Prepare and maintain clinical equipment, therapy resources, and assistive devices.
- Support documentation, stock management, and quality patient care across varied clinical services.
About you:
You'll be a compassionate and reliable team player who enjoys working directly with patients and contributing to their rehabilitation journey. You understand the importance of working within your scope of practice while communicating effectively with both patients and healthcare professionals.
- Experience supporting patient care under delegated clinical supervision.

- Commitment to safety, quality care, and ongoing professional development.
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance is well regarded.

About us:
Occupational Therapy services within the Division of Allied Health and Rehabilitation and are provided across two geographical sites: Woolloongabba and Wynnum West.
The primary function of the Division is to provide high quality clinical, teaching and research services that support the activities of the Divisions of Surgery, Medicine, Cancer and Rehabilitation.
The PAH Occupational Therapy Department provides services to the Geriatric Assessment and Rehabilitation Unit, Brain Injuries Rehabilitation Unit, Spinal Injuries Unit, medical and surgical wards, cancer services, cardiac services, orthopaedics wards, outpatients (including hand therapy and lymphoedema), and the Security Unit and Mental Health.
The department aims to provide high standard services across the continuum of care with consumer participation, occupation based holistic care, evidence based clinical practice, research and evaluation, and education being integral to the work of the department.
