Administration Assistant / Engagement Officer
Continuing Contingent Full-Time Appointment
Position Classification Level 4
Annual salary $70,037.40 – $74,456.57 pa + 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leave

Support First Nations student engagement through event coordination, stakeholder engagement, administration and outreach activities.

About the Position
As the Administration Assistant / Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for providing administrative and engagement support to the Health Education Hub staff, helping deliver outreach activities that encourage First Nations students to pursue health education pathways. You will work closely with the Director of the First Nations Health Education Hub, the academic staff and Strategic Project Team. You will coordinate events, community consultations, stakeholder engagement activities, project support, and maintain and update student databases. This role requires strong organisational skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to build respectful relationships with First Nations communities, including travel to regional and remote locations to support engagement initiatives and educational opportunities.

About You
To be successful, you will require:
· Understanding of First Nations cultures, communities and issues affecting educational outcomes.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage respectfully across diverse communities.
· Relevant qualification (Certificate III in Business or similar) and/or equivalent administrative experience.
· Proven administrative and customer service experience with strong attention to detail.
· Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business applications.
· Ability and willingness to travel to regional and remote locations across the Northern Territory.
· Commitment to the University’s values.
Desirable competencies
· Previous experience working in a higher education environment.

Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory National Criminal History check and a valid NT Working with Children clearance

Remuneration
Appointment for this role will be at Level 4. The base salary will be in the range of $70,037.40 – $74,456.57 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $81,943.76 - $87,114.19 per annum,



including 17% superannuation.
