Key Functions and Responsibilities:
- Providing quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Ensuring that all the resources within their control are utilised as efficiently and effectively as possible.
- Being pro-active and making decisions and taking action on issues which are within their control.
- Informing their Supervisor of any issue which impacts on their ability to effectively fulfil the requirements of the Position Description.
- The implementation of safe working practices.
- Providing for the safe and orderly passage of persons crossing the designated school crossing.
- Supervision of the designated crossing at the prescribed times in accordance with the provisions of the Road Rules – Victoria.
- Monitoring crossing for illegal traffic practices.
- Maintenance of equipment.
- Provision of ongoing public relations and Council image.
