We’re looking for a manager to take the lead at our beautiful Sydney CBD store.

This is a great role for a restaurant, venue or hospitality manager who loves the energy of busy service and wants to work for a business that’s constantly growing and creating new things — while keeping the personality and sense of fun that’s been part of Messina for nearly 25 years.

The role

Our stores are fast-paced and a little bit different. From the freshly-churned gelato that's achieved cult-like status to the music to the people behind the counter, we want every customer who walks through the door to have a great experience.

You’ll have ownership of the day-to-day operation of the store and, most importantly, the team that makes it all happen.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Recruiting and training great people

- Creating a fun and inclusive team culture

- Delivering genuinely great customer service

- Maintaining the quality of our delicious gelato

- Working closely with the broader Messina family (marketing, production, operations and logistics)

Who we’re looking for





You’re an experienced hospitality or retail manager who is confident leading a busy venue and genuinely enjoys managing people. You’ll be organised, commercially switched on and calm when things get hectic — but you’ll also know that a outstanding workplace should be fun.

You must have full Australian work rights.

Strong communication skills are essential, because all of our people need to feel supported and enjoy coming to work.
