We are excited to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation in their search for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their finance team on a part-time basis.
Based South of the River, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking for flexibility, work-life balance and the chance to take ownership of a key function within a supportive team.
The role will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll function for approximately 100 employees, with working days and hours able to be tailored to suit the successful candidate.
You will be focusing on:
- Managing the end-to-end payroll process for approximately 100 employees
- Processing weekly, fortnightly or monthly payroll as required
- Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and within required deadlines
- Maintaining accurate employee payroll records and updating employee changes
- Processing new starters, terminations, leave, allowances, deductions and other payroll adjustments
- Ensuring superannuation and payroll-related payments are processed accurately and on time
- Responding to employee payroll queries and providing timely support
- Assisting with payroll reconciliations and ensuring payroll data is accurate
- Supporting compliance with relevant legislation,
awards and payroll requirements
- Preparing payroll reports and assisting with payroll-related administration
- Liaising with internal stakeholders regarding payroll queries and changes
Role Requirementsi:
- Previous experience in an end-to-end Payroll Officer position
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and relevant legislation
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage payroll deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with payroll/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- A proactive and reliable approach to your work
Benefits:
