THE MONDAY GROUP is partnering with a leading national catering organisation to recruit experienced Chef de Parties for opportunities in the Gippsland region of Victoria.

This is an opportunity to move away from the traditional hospitality grind and into a structured, professional kitchen environment offering competitive EBA-backed pay, penalty rates and genuine long-term job security.

You'll prepare fresh, quality meals for the Defence community across breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a roster focused on daytime and early-evening service — no late-night restaurant closes.

About the Role:
Working as part of an experienced kitchen brigade, you'll deliver high-quality catering across a busy Defence workplace producing approximately 20,000 meals per month, alongside functions, Grab 'n' Go and additional catering requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing, cooking and presenting fresh meals to a high standard
- Working across breakfast, lunch and dinner services
- Supporting high-volume catering and functions
- Supporting Grab 'n' Go and additional catering services
- Working collaboratively within a professional kitchen team
- Supporting junior kitchen staff and utilities
- Maintaining food safety, hygiene and compliance standards

About You:
We're recruiting at Chef de Partie level,



with applications also welcomed from experienced Cooks and Chefs ready to step up.
You'll ideally have:

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- HACCP Level 2 certification
- Experience in a busy commercial or high-volume kitchen
- Strong cooking and food preparation skills
- A calm, organised and team-focused approach
- Flexibility to work a rotating seven-day roster

You must be an Australian citizen and eligible to obtain a Defence Baseline security clearance.
