$49.44 per hour
Our Client is seeking a qualified and safety focused Carpenter to join their facilities and maintenance team across the Maitland & Upper Hunter Region
Reporting to the Facilities Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality carpentry maintenance, repair and construction services across site facilities. The role requires a proactive individual who takes pride in their workmanship, works safely and contributes positively to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform carpentry maintenance, repair and installation works.
- Deliver a high standard of service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Complete works in accordance with site procedures and supervisor instructions.
- Maintain tools and equipment in protected working order and report faults as required.
- Complete JSAs, permits and other required safety documentation.
- Adhere to all WHS policies, procedures and PPE requirements.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety observations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Complete incident, accident and hazard reporting as required.
- Support site operations through effective teamwork and communication.
- Ensure work areas remain safe, clean and compliant at all times.
Skills & Experience
- Relevant Carpentry Trade Qualification.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Construction White Card.
- Proven experience in carpentry, maintenance or facilities environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using maintenance management systems such as AroFlo or Maximo will be highly regarded.
- Current First Aid Certificate is advantageous.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends when required.
- Physically fit and capable of working in varying site conditions.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering quality workmanship.
- Strong focus on safety, professionalism and customer service.
