Part Time Accounts Officer

Hays is partnering with a South Australian organisation in the agriculture sector, seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join its finance team on a part-time basis. Your new role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day finance function while assisting with a range of administrative duties. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, requiring robust attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

- Daily banking and cash receipting
- Accounts payable processing, reconciliations, and supplier management
- Accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, and account maintenance
- Bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end finance activities
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- General administrative and office support duties




- Ad hoc support across the wider finance team

What you'll need to succeed

- Previous experience in an Accounts Officer, Finance Officer, Bookkeeper, or similar role
- Proven experience across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A positive, team-oriented approach
