Senior Remedial Engineer
Inner West Sydney | Growing Remedial Division | Long-Term Leadership Opportunity
A small, growing engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Remedial Engineer to join its expanding remedial division in Sydney’s Inner West.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants more than just another senior engineering position. The remedial division is relatively new, and the business is looking for someone who can help build and shape the team, with the potential to progress into a leadership and partnership position in the future.
The Opportunity
You’ll initially work closely with the Director, receiving support and guidance as you get established within the business. Over time, you’ll take increasing ownership of the remedial division, helping to develop the team, manage projects and contribute to the growth of the service offering.
The project portfolio includes a mix of:
- High-end residential developments
- Volume residential projects
- Commercial buildings
- Remedial and defect-related engineering
- Building inspections, investigations and reporting
This role would suit a Senior or experienced Intermediate Remedial Engineer who is looking for genuine autonomy, career progression and the chance to build something of their own.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing remedial engineering projects from investigation through to delivery
- Conducting building inspections and defect investigations
- Preparing technical reports and remedial specifications
- Providing engineering advice to clients,
builders and other stakeholders
- Managing client relationships and project delivery
- Supporting the development of the remedial division
- Eventually taking ownership of the day-to-day remedial operation and team
- Helping recruit and mentor engineers as the division grows
What We're Looking For
- Strong remedial engineering/building diagnostics experience
- Experience with residential and/or commercial buildings
- Strong technical report writing and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage projects independently
- Commercial mindset and an interest in developing a business
- Someone who wants to build a team and take ownership rather than simply manage projects
