The Role

We require a Telecoms Designer to join our national telecommunications design team, focusing on recoverable works projects for Telstra/NBN customer access networks.

- Carry out field inspections to investigate and capture accurate network data.
- Liaise and maintain rapport with Clients, Councils, Telstra and other carriers, and Main Roads.
- Design Copper and Optic Fibre network relocation works solutions for recoverable works (RW) projects.
- Design civil asset network relocation works solutions for RW projects.
- Supply detailed plan mark‑ups for drafting.
- Review design projects to ensure accuracy and technical compliance.
- Prepare quantity and construction cost estimates.
- Optimize productivity to meet established targets.
- Demonstrate project management capabilities.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Telco external field works areas.




- Construction and/or project management experience.
- Operational knowledge and understanding of Telstra/NBN systems.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Knowledge of Telstra/NBN copper and optic fibre networks.
- Basic AutoCAD skills are an advantage.
- A commitment to providing high‑quality results.
- Self‑managed with the ability to work independently.
