Disability Support Worker (Native-Level English Speaker in 20s Preferred)

YH Support is seeking Disability Support Workers (Advanced Fluency/Native-Level English Speaker - Mandatory due to comprehension issues and in their 20s preferred) to join our team in Lalor, Epping VIC and surrounding areas to support a young client on the spectrum.

This is a casual position , with shifts scheduled on weekdays after school hours, from 4pm to 6pm .

What you'll be doing

- Assisting clients with personal care, such as showering, dressing, and grooming
- Helping clients with household tasks, including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry
- Accompanying and supporting clients in the community, such as during social outings or appointments
- Providing emotional support and engaging clients in meaningful activities
- Documenting client progress and communicating with the broader care team
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols

What we're looking for

- Certificate III in Disability
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance, up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification, Medication Administration Training, completed NDIS Orientation Modules, and other mandatory compliance checks as required.




- Experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with disabilities
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- A current driver's license and access to reliable transport
