1st Year Parks and Gardens Tradesperson Apprentice

Love working outdoors? Want to learn a hands‑on trade while getting paid? The Australian Turf Club at Randwick Racecourse is looking for a 1st Year Parks & Gardens Apprentice to join the team and help keep one of Australia's most iconic racing venues looking its best.

This is a great opportunity for a recent school leaver who enjoys practical work, being outdoors, and wants to build a career in landscaping and horticulture.

What you'll be doing

Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you'll gain practical skills in:

- Garden construction
- Paving and hard landscaping
- Building rock and timber structures
- General grounds and garden maintenance
- Learning safe work practices on a busy site
- No experience needed - just the right attitude and willingness to learn.

What we're looking for

- A recent school leaver eager to start a trade
- Someone willing to learn and work safely
- Physically fit and able to handle hands‑on work
- Motivated, reliable and ready to build a future

What you'll get





- Full-time paid apprenticeship
- 38-hour week (Monday to Friday)
- Some overtime and weekend work on race days
- All safety gear provided
- Onsite parking and easy access to public transport
- Support and mentoring from qualified tradespeople
