Blacktown City Council offers a paid four-year apprenticeship as an Apprentice Greenkeeper, working across the city to maintain sports fields, turf cricket wickets and irrigation systems while completing a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management.

During the first three years you gain hands‑on experience with on‑the‑job training; in year four you focus on practical experience with mentors to build a career in sports turf management.
