Springwood Mechanical is a family-owned business. They have been in business for 20+ years. Owner of the Business has 40+ years' experience. We are located in Springwood. This is a Full-Time Apprenticeship position that offers an excellent opportunity to extend your career in the automotive trades industry. You will work along experienced mechanics, gain practical hands-on experience whilst complete your formal training qualifications. This role is essential to our operations, allowing you to develop the foundational skills and knowledge required to become an Automotive Technician. Above Award wage offered to the right Applicant. What you'll be doing
Working with the servicing, maintenance and repair of light vehicles.
Learning to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
Performing routine maintenance task including oil change, filter replacement, brake inspections and fluid checks as well learning how to carry wheel alignments and other suspension related tasks.
Using workshop tools and diagnostic equipment safely and appropriately.
Preparing vehicles for testing and inspection.
Following all workplace health and safety procedures and regulations.
Attending scheduled on the job training and completed coursework as part of your apprenticeship.
Keep accurate records of work completed and report any issues to Owner.
Contributing to the team and support colleagues where possible.
What we are looking for
A genuine interest in automotive mechanics and the automotive trades industry.
A Valid Driver's license.
Solid attention to details and accuracy in work.
Reliability, punctuality and strong work ethic.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks in workshop environment.
A willingness to lean and ask questions.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Commitment to safety and compliance with workplace procedures.

Preferred: some prior experience with vehicle maintenance and mechanical work.
Junior or Adult apprentice
2nd or 3rd year preferred, Willing to consider all applicants.
