We are looking for a reliable person to join our busy marine workshop in Taren Point. This position may suit a junior or apprentice shipwright, a boat polisher or marine detailer, a trades assistant with practical, hands-on experience, or someone recent to the marine industry who is motivated and willing to learn. We can provide training in antifouling, hull preparation and other areas of marine work.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing hulls for antifouling
- Sanding and applying antifouling paint
- Boat polishing, cutting and detailing
- Fibreglass and gelcoat preparation
- Assisting with shipwright repairs and boat refits
- General boat maintenance
- Workshop preparation and clean-up

- Reliable and arrives on time
- Physically fit and comfortable with practical work
- Pays attention to detail
- Works well as part of a team
- Willing to learn new skills
- Has own reliable transport
- Full-time work, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm
