Apprentice Welder (Apprenticeships offered)

Immediate start | Full-time position | Smeaton Grange

FluidPro is a well-established manufacturer of quality mixers and plate heat exchangers, based in Smeaton Grange (South-West Sydney). We're expanding and looking for a 1st or 2nd year Apprentice Welder to join our hands-on manufacturing team.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, hard-working all-rounder to join our manufacturing team. This position involves a variety of tasks manufacturing and assembling mixers and plate heat exchangers, with an emphasis on quality across all products. With a range of tasks being undertaken, this role offers the opportunity to expand your skills and experience within the manufacturing sector.

The role will include:

- Learning and developing MIG/TIG welding skills
- Running tests on assembled products according to drawings and job specifications
- Quality assurance and cross-checking assembled products against job drawings; reporting non-conformances
- Incoming goods checks and stock control




- Packaging orders to send out to customers
- Use of hand and power tools
- Maintaining a safe and clean setting
- Manual handling and lifting
- Forklift driving

Hours

Monday – Thursday: 7am – 3:30pm

Friday: 6am – 12pm

About You

- A great "CAN DO" attitude and willingness to learn and grow
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Pride in quality workmanship
- Currently undertaking (or about to start) a welding apprenticeship, or relevant pre-apprenticeship/trade school experience
- Reliable, punctual, and a consistent work history
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
- Current forklift licence or willing to obtain one
