9D Care offers a range of supports and assistance to a variety of local residents, including help at home, social inclusion and community participation. We are looking for people who can provide practical and emotional help to others, using their experience to build rapport and positive working relationships. Your support will enable our clients to remain living independently and comfortably in their own homes throughout the Brisbane Region, QLD.
The Opportunity:
This is a casual role based in Dutton Park, QLD , supporting a female participant with an acquired brain injury.
The available shifts are:
Monday: 6:00 AM to 6:00 AM Tuesday, including an inactive sleepover
Tuesday: 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM – inactive sleepover
Thursday: 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM – inactive sleepover
Friday: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM

About You:
We require our Disability Support Workers to be reliable, committed and empathetic individuals who can provide high-quality, person-centred support.
A can-do attitude and a genuine interest in helping others
Experience supporting people with acquired brain injury, neurological conditions or complex support needs
A practical understanding of personal care, hygiene assistance and daily living support
The ability to monitor the participant’s wellbeing and respond appropriately to changes
An understanding of physical and cognitive limitations, with a safe and sensible approach
Enjoyment of social activities and one‑on‑one engagement
Creativity, enthusiasm,
sensitivity and emotional stability
Strong communication and organisational skills
The ability to manage your time and support the participant with daily routines
Strong work ethics and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Commitment to providing responsive, respectful and considerate care
A strong focus on punctuality and reliability
The ability to prioritise the individual needs of the participant, their family and guardian
Flexible and adaptive communication skills
The ability to maintain accurate progress notes and support documentation
Qualifications required:
Experience as a Disability Support Worker providing Personal Care, Community Access and Domestic Assistance
At least 12–24 months of experience working in complex care
Experience supporting people with acquired brain injury, neurological conditions or complex support needs
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or an equivalent qualification
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Full QLD Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
All applicants must have a relevant visa or unrestricted working rights in Australia
