Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. Provide specialist assessment and clinical formulation using complex neuropsychological and psychological data. Administer and interpret specialist psychometric tests; supervise others in test administration. Develop and implement neuropsychological rehabilitation plans within an appropriate theoretical framework and with the multidisciplinary team. Evaluate treatment options using theoretical and therapeutic models, considering complex developmental and historical factors. Offer specialised neuropsychological advice and consultation to professionals; support parents, teachers and others in neurorehabilitation strategies. Conduct risk assessments and advise colleagues on psychological aspects of risk management. Communicate assessment findings, formulations and treatment plans sensitively; monitor and evaluate progress across care pathways. Take autonomous responsibility for assessment, treatment and discharge within psychologically based care plans. Act as care coordinator, ensuring appropriate care packages, organising reviews and maintaining communication with families and professionals. Use theory and evidence-based literature to support clinical practice and multidisciplinary work. Undertake research and provide research advice and supervision to service staff and Trust colleagues.



Lead project management tasks, including audit and service evaluation, to support service development. Lead research projects and disseminate findings through presentations and publications. Provide supervision for doctoral trainees and assistant psychologists. Follow Trust policies for clinical record keeping; maintain standardised records of test results. Create databases for clinical or research purposes. Use specialist software for statistical and psychometric analysis. Provide and receive regular clinical supervision in line with Trust policy. Train and develop staff; complete annual appraisals and development plans. Supervise CCPNR psychologists and paediatric psychology staff. Lead and manage recruitment within CCPNR. Work with the Paediatric Neuropsychology Lead to develop services and identify service needs and funding opportunities. Participate in supervision, annual appraisal and mandatory training. Provide supervision and placements for trainee psychologists, ensuring development of required competencies. Deliver CPD and qualified supervision to recently qualified psychologists. Offer advice, consultation, training and supervision to team members delivering psychological interventions.



Provide pre and postqualification teaching as appropriate. Maintain and develop skills in training and clinical supervision. Provide training and consultation to staff across agencies working with the patient group. Promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Implement NICE and other relevant bestpractice guidelines. Prevent and control infection in line with Trust policy. Report incidents and near misses, ensuring actions are taken to reduce recurrence. Contribute to risk identification, management and reduction. Ensure high standards of governance, clinical effectiveness, safety and patient experience. Monitor quality and compliance with standards within the service. Maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors and staff. Maintain uptodate knowledge of legislation, policies and issues relevant to the client group and mental health. Comply with professional codes of conduct and Trust policies, including Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety and Confidentiality. Ensure all duties meet current quality standards and initiatives.
