About the Role
As Gaming Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the gaming room while leading, coaching and developing your team. You will be responsible for ensuring outstanding customer service, strong gaming performance, regulatory compliance and a welcoming environment for our patrons.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work closely with the General Manager and wider management team to continuously improve gaming performance and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach and mentor Gaming Attendants and Supervisors
- Drive a positive, high-performance team culture
- Conduct training, onboarding and ongoing development of team members
- Ensure all team members hold and maintain required gaming qualifications and certifications
Customer Experience
- Deliver exceptional service and build strong relationships with patrons
- Ensure all team members provide warm greetings and personalised customer service
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
- Foster an inviting and welcoming gaming environment
Gaming Operations
- Manage the daily operation of the gaming room
- Oversee gaming room presentation, cleanliness and maintenance
- Monitor gaming performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Manage gaming promotions, jackpots and customer engagement initiatives
- Work closely with suppliers, contractors and gaming representatives
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with NSW gaming legislation
- Manage Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gambling (ARCG) requirements
- Ensure AML/CTF obligations are met at all times
- Maintain operational procedures, audits and compliance records
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and industry stakeholders as required
Financial Performance
- Assist in achieving gaming revenue targets and KPI outcomes
- Monitor gaming room expenditure and stock control
- Analyse gaming reports and recommend improvement initiatives
- Contribute ideas to increase patron engagement and venue performance
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A robust understanding of NSW gaming legislation and compliance requirements
- Current RSA and RCG qualifications
- Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gambling (ARCG) accreditation (or ability to obtain)
- Sound understanding of AML/CTF obligations within gaming operations
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- A passion for hospitality and creating memorable customer experiences
