What you will do

As Senior Licensing Officer, you will assess liquor licence applications within the licensing division.

You will make decisions that help minimise the risk of alcohol-related harm.

You will:

- assess applications for alcohol-related harm and complexity.




- make decisions on medium to high-risk applications under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 and other relevant laws.
- prepare clear correspondence, briefs and memorandums for applicants and internal teams.
- manage a high-volume workload while meeting organisational priorities.
- maintain information and documents in systems and databases in line with information management policies and procedures.

About you

You will bring experience assessing applications, making decisions and managing a high-volume workload.

You should also have:

- strong legislative skills and the ability to apply laws, policies and procedures.
- sound judgement when assessing risk, complexity and applications.
- clear written communication when preparing correspondence, briefs and memorandums.
- strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
