The Opportunity
Join CIMIC's centralised Tax team and support a diverse portfolio of businesses operating across Australia and internationally.
The Senior Tax Accountant plays a key part in delivering direct tax compliance, reporting, planning and advisory outcomes across the Group.
Working alongside experienced tax leaders, you will support transactions, investments, tax structuring and strategic business initiatives across a complex and commercially diverse operating environment.
The breadth of the role provides exposure to a wide range of tax matters, industries and business operations, offering a unique opportunity to further develop your technical and commercial tax expertise.
Based in our North Sydney office, the role offers a 3/2 hybrid workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver direct tax compliance and reporting obligations across the Group
Prepare and review income tax calculations,
tax effect accounting and tax reporting requirements
Support tax planning and structuring initiatives
Provide taxation support on transactions, investments and business initiatives
Assist with tax risk management, governance activities and ATO engagement
Partner with finance and business stakeholders on technical tax matters
Contribute to tax advisory projects and strategic priorities across the Group
About You
Strong experience in Australian direct tax compliance and tax reporting
Exposure to tax advisory, transactions, international tax, tax planning and/or structuring activities
Strong technical tax capability and commercial acumen
Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce, Business, Economics, Tax or Law
