The City of Kwinana is looking for acompassionate, community-minded Cultural Community Connector tojoin our brand new Early Childhood Development team.

This isn't a desk job. It'sabout connecting with people where they are. Listening to stories.Breaking down barriers. Helping multicultural families access theservices, support and opportunities that enable young children tothrive.

Working alongside our EarlyChildhood Development Partnership, you'll become a trustedconnector between families, community organisations, serviceproviders and government agencies. You'll advocate formulticultural families, provide culturally informed advice, andensure their lived experiences help shape the programs and servicesdelivered across our community.

WhatYou’ll Be Doing

In this rewarding roleyou’ll:

- Buildtrusted relationships with multicultural families across theKwinana community.
- Connectparents and caregivers with health, wellbeing, early childhoodand community services.
- Supportfamilies to understand child development and access the rightassistance when needed.
- Providecultural advice that helps make local services more inclusive,welcoming and accessible.
- Givemulticultural families meaningful opportunities to contributeto the planning and design of community programs.
- Workcollaboratively with government agencies,



communityorganisations and local service providers to improve outcomesfor young children and their families

What You’llNeed

To make an impact in this role the successfulcandidate will possess the following skills andattributes:

- Considerable experiencein community services program delivery, including planning,organising and evaluating experiences for families and youngchildren.
- Soundexperience working in the community/social services sectorand/or advocating for family support services across the socialservices sector.
- Demonstrated experiencein building trusted relationships and working effectively withmulticultural families and communities.
- Soundknowledge of the community services sector that enables theability to provide cultural advice and contribute to thedevelopment of programs and services.
- Well-developedinterpersonal, communication and engagement skills, with theability to build effective relationships and workcollaboratively with community servicestakeholders.
- Theability to obtain Working With Children’s, Police Clearance andholding of a current driver’s licence.
- Arelevant tertiary qualification will be highlyregarded.
