Swintons IGA is looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Part-Time/Casual Deli Assistant to join our team in Warrnambool.

About the Role

As a Deli Assistant, you'll play an important role in ensuring our deli department is well-presented, fully stocked, and provides an exceptional shopping experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, slice, and present a wide range of fresh deli products, including meats, cheeses, salads, and ready-to-eat items.
- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient customer service.
- Assist customers with product recommendations and answer questions about our deli range.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene throughout the department.
- Replenish stock and ensure displays are attractive, fresh, and well‑organised.
- Rotate stock and assist with inventory management to minimise waste.




- Work closely with the wider store team to provide an outstanding shopping experience.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

- Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in their work.
- Friendly, approachable, and committed to providing excellent customer service.
- Able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to learn and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Well organised with good attention to detail.
- Experienced in a deli, supermarket, food retail, or similar customer service environment (preferred but not essential).

Availability

Successful applicants must be available to work a flexible rotating roster, including:

- Day and evening shifts.
- Weekends.
- Public holidays as required.
