About the role
Carinity Education–Rockhamptonhave an exciting opportunityfor anenthusiastic Youth Worker – Student Wellbeing (YWSW) to join theteam. This role provides support to youth in their academicendeavours contributing to a rich education experience in a caringenvironment.
The YWSW plays an significant role encouraging the spiritual andcultural development of young people and ensuring that the socialand emotional environments within the school are positive,respectful, and calm.
This position is a part-time position (term time only),requiring availability Monday to Friday between 7:00 AM and 4:00PM.
What do I need for the role?
- Certificate IV in Teacher Aide, Youth Work, or similarrelevant discipline
- Experience in providing Youth Work, education, and supportservices to marginalised young people
- Ability to provide trauma-informed approaches to managechallenging behaviour, prioritising de-escalation, andleast-restrictive interventions for students
- Possession of a valid LR Driver’s Licence or willing toobtain (Drive the School mini bus)
- Hold a current Suitability for Working with Children card(Blue Card)
