About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for you to join our supportive and growing team inafull-time, ongoing Grade 1 rotational position.This rotational position offersthechance toupskill in clinical care across diverse settings in the acute, subacute and community adult streamsand work in the multi-disciplinary team. You will have access to a robust supervision framework and opportunities to contribute to quality improvement initiatives, underpinned by Western Health’s strong commitment to learning and development.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and manage dysphagia and communication impairment within theacute,subacute and community settings
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Be committed to continuous quality improvement, clinicalresearchand professional development
- Ensure safe andhigh-qualitypatient care is delivered in line with Western Health values and policies.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Clinical competency, theoretical knowledge and experience in the assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders within the acute, rehabilitation and/or aged care sectors
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Eligibility for certified practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia

Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women’s prison located in Ravenhall.
