Lake Macquarie is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced Cardiac Ward . This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment caring for patients undergoing complex cardiac and thoracic procedures.

Permanent, full-time opportunity available, working night duty.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care in a fast-paced cardiac environment
- Monitor and manage post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients
- Care for patients undergoing interventional cardiology and structural heart procedures
- Perform cardiac monitoring and recognise/respond to patient deterioration
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Support patients and families through recovery and education
- You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery in alignment with hospital policies.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 12 monthscardiac experience
- Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
- Highly organised with a proven ability to manage emergency situations
- Demonstrates strong adaptability in dynamic situations
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal

Remuneration

A market-competitive salary:



A base hourly rate of $40.24 - $56.52 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties and allowances (*NSW RN/Midwife Gr1-Gr8*)
